German Power Market Merit Order
Market Power Price is the matching point where the most expensive Power Plant meets the Demand. German power prices are mainly Coal Power Prices with some hours of Gas Power Prices
The solid red lines represent the Demand Curves, which are typically quite static (steep). The dotted red curves show the Power Prices in times of low and high Demand
After phase-out of Nuclear and strong reductions in Lignite and Coal there will be massive increases in power prices in times of the Dark Doldrum
